Gratitude and Digital Citizenship

Traditionally people think of gratitude in November. I want to challenge you to think of it all year long, not just in November! You might wonder why an expert in digital citizenship cares so much? It is simple:

It is proven to make you happier, and I meet a lot of youth struggling with negative thoughts and unhappiness!

Neuroscience Reveals: Gratitude Literally Rewires Your Brain to be Happier  is a great article that goes into the WHY behind using gratitude.

There is another benefit I would like to mention. GRATITUDE IS FREE and can do so many things for you! Forbes brought out a list last year:

1. Gratitude opens the door to more relationships.

2. Gratitude improves physical health.

3. Gratitude improves psychological health.

4. Gratitude enhances empathy and reduces aggression.

5. Grateful people sleep better.

6. Gratitude improves self-esteem.

7. Gratitude increases mental strength.

Gratitude is a secret super power and a choice, so let's practice this in our classrooms and homes!
