A glass of wine, parenting hacks, and  a pact  -  we're all in this together

Anastasia Bell, the self-proclaimed writer, and town prude has written a brilliant post on Musical.ly and the dangers of what was initially meant to be a fun app. Porn is not the worst thing you'll find on Musical.ly. She is absolutely spot on, no need for me to rewrite.

Parents I talk to feel horrible when they realize they have made a mistake. DON'T! We all make mistakes and allow something and realize oh no...  this is no good. Don't shame yourself, don't beat yourself up but please do fix the problem.

We have all been sucked into the internet, social media and the traps it brings with it. I don't think there is a person alive who hasn't made an internet blunder. Don't shame yourself, trust me you are not alone, over 200 million people have this app, and many of them are under the age of thirteen.

Here is a tip.  There is power in numbers; whatever you realize you want to change, start an initiative. Meet with other parents, friends. Make it enjoyable, have a glass of wine while discussing how you deal with the online lives of your kids. You will quickly realize most parents struggle. Read articles stay informed and then make a pact together. If a group of parents decide together to delete Musical.ly from their kid's phones, it is much easier than if you go it alone.  If the other Moms say no – go it solo, do the right thing. Your child might scream and complain but don't worry... this too shall pass and you will be doing your job.
